One of the major differences between this coin and a regular issue Two Cent Piece is the motto. These curious pieces were most likely struck for sale to collectors as part of complete off-metal sets as there was no obvious reason for their production. A very special offering, as this is the only Judd-1598a known to exist. This pattern, along with others with a similar design, are commonly referred to as Washlady patterns.
